Spring isolators are rubber washers that fit on the top and bottom of rear coil springs. They help to greatly reduce road noise and vibration, and help the springs to actuate smoothly through the range of motion.
Over time and miles, spring isolators can dry out, crack, deteriorate, and get ‘squashed out’. Fresh isolators can get the damping and spring isolation back, for many more miles and years of quiet service.
Very good upgrade to do when replacing rear springs.
These are all that is required when performing a rear air bag (air suspension) upgrade to rear coil springs. The existing spring perches will work with these isolators and our Northwoods springs.
