What Drives Us

Our mission is to design and develop quality engineered products to enhance the performance of smaller SUVs, like Toyota's RAV4. We aim to increase off-road performance, while maintaining the factory reliability and street drivability.

Our Story

Like many of us, we originally bought our RAV4 in 2015 based on its reliability and economy—we were chasing our boys around Montana to watch them play football. With small schools in Montana and 6 man football teams spread throughout the state, this often meant 400 miles to a Saturday afternoon game. The RAV performed well, eating up the miles with trouble free service and decent mileage even as the speeds topped 80mph. But as we started to use the RAV get us to our other adventures we began to realize its limitations. As a mechanical engineer with a lifetime passion for motorsports, we decided to develop performance upgrades to improve the RAV4.

The ground clearance was a little low, as we occasionally scraped our way up the dirt road to the trailhead, and the springs a bit soft when fully loaded with dogs, gear, coolers, or kayaks. So we decided to develop a suspension system that would enhance the RAV’s dirt road manners, while still maintaining street drivability, reliability, and economy. The result is a mild lift for increased ground clearance and load capacity. The lift allows the fitment of larger tires for even more ground clearance The higher spring rate increases load carrying capacity, off road performance, and highway handling when fully loaded, while still maintaining a comfortable performance suspension feel for the daily commute. In short, we greatly improve the overall capability of this great SUV without losing any of its original design strengths, or having to modify other major suspension components such as shocks or drive axles and CV joints.

Our mission is to design and develop quality engineered products to enhance the usefulness of our smaller SUV’s, increase off road performance, while maintaining the factory reliability and street drivability.
