Northwoods Performance suspension system provides increased ride height with tuned springs to dramatically improve street and trail performance. On the street, your RAV will eat the corners and have greatly reduced braking dive. On the trail, you will eat up the potholes and dips without bottoming out, even when loaded with coolers, dogs, and gear. All without being too harsh for your daily commute. We offer our full kits with fully assembled front struts.
This Off Road Package uses Bilstein’s B6 struts and shocks. The legendary Bilstein B6 system was designed for off road performance, and will greatly improve ride and control on the roughest trails, or when fully loaded. If you are spending most of your time on the trail, this is the kit for you.
Option of 1-1/2″ or 2″ lift. 2″ kits include rear lift bushings.

Oh man, this was an easy install. I’m pretty mechanically inclined and did my research and if I needed tools, I picked them up before the kit got to me. The weeks leading up to the install, I read the instructions front to back about 4 times. I felt confident. I know instructions say allow for 8 hours to install the lift, and I can see that, but my suspension came apart easily and only had one hiccup, but that’s to be expected with rusty fasteners.
The day of the install, I laid everything out on the floor and put everything with the correct side, and all the hardware where it needed to be. Started around 9:45am. I completed the install with the skid plate install too(this is actually what caused me the biggest issue, but it was my vehicle, not the parts supplied), at 1:58pm. I cannot explain how well this went together. This includes torquing things to spec as well.
Now, I’ve driven it about 100 miles since the install, and I have to say, I never realized HOW wore out my struts were! This thing feels super tight now and doesn’t buck and jump everywhere. It is slightly firmer, but in my opinion, it’s the way it should feel. Even lifted 2″, the Bilsteins really help level the Rav4 going around corners and overall feels so much more responsive. Such a better feeling machine and the first true full suspension lift kit I’ve ever installed. I wish everything went together as well as this setup did.
