The ultimate protection for your engine and transmission. Full protection from the rear cross member, all the way forward under the front core support to protect your radiator too. Available with access holes for engine oil and drain plug to allow easy servicing, or full plate with no holes for total skid protection (plate removal required for service).
Mounting is easy with 4 bolts, and no drilling required. To remove solid skid plate for service, removal is easy with just 4 nut and bolt removal—takes just 10 minutes or less.
Aluminum plates are 3/16” thick and weigh about 20 pounds. They have a light brush finish.
Steel plates are 1/8” thick and weigh about 32 pounds. They come in a bare steel finish without coating and will eventually rust—you can spray paint or powder coat to your desired finish, or just go patina style.
The aluminum and steel plates have similar strength due to differences in plate thickness.
All required mounting hardware is included.
High Clearance exhaust NOT required on Gen 3 models–the stock exhaust tucks up pretty well already.

Absolutely awesome! Have been wanting to buy this skid plate forever now and finally pulled the trigger and couldn’t be happier! I did purchase the aluminum instead of the steal because I personally do not do anything extreme and overall just wanted to improve the look of my rav4 because my factory air dams and plastic skid plate were all falling down and broken.
A couple things with the install:
-overall it is super easy and simple. Essentially 4 bolts out and 4 bolt with spacers in
-mainly with my car, I purchased this knowing it was needed, but I have a bull/push bar on the front and the brackets for that bolt just a tad too close together for the width of the skid plate. I took a little grinder and dremel and cut the slightest bit of each side just at the front to wrap right around the brackets and now it is perfect!
-if you are worried about the install, don’t be. The instructions that says 1-2 hours is very generous especially if you don’t have the cut or anything
-lastly, with this install you do have to remove the airdam pieces right in front of the front tires. They are not needed what so ever but removing those does add just a tad bit more road noise. The new skid plate does not hum or vibrate or anything
Overall, I am super please with this and could not be happier. Much much much better off purchasing this and actually having it do something and never fall down better than spending who knows how much on the same little factory plastic that Toyota will sell you.

Product quality, included instructions, shipping and customer service are all excellent. Installation should be easy however, on my vehicle the supplied spacers were not adequate. I had to add an extra 1/8″ washer to prevent the exhaust manifold vibrating against the plate. I had to run out mid-job to get these, turning a 30 minute job into a 2 hour job. Additionally, I had to drill 4 holes at the front of the plate to secure the bumper for a clean installation.

12 Month Review, Aluminium Bash
Saved my oil pan first time I took it off-roading on Fraser Island QLD, Mate in front bent the radiator of his Nissan Navara. I was left with a nice gauze on the aluminium. Instructions are super easy and clear, Nathan even reached out and let me know they had accidently packaged the bolts wrong.
Had to modify mine by cutting the front corners off in order to fit the oem nudge bar we have in AUS. Tucks nicely under the metal protector plate of the nudge which is a bonus.
I now no longer have to worry when going camping with the boys on sandy tracks, I can use the bash as a plough and keep momentum and not have to worry about putting pressure on either the oil or transmission pans.

Shipped to Canada faster than I thought and install was super easy. A rock had already ripped off the plastic skid plate that came with my car so install went particularly fast. Just had to remove 4 bolts and tighten 4 bolts

I was hesitant to order this aluminum skid plate for my 2010 RAV4, simply because of the price. I will never regret it, though. What a terrific piece of kit to bolt on! The fit was perfect, mounting holes were perfect, hardware kit was perfect. The color photo instructions included were spot-on. 4 bolts, no sweat. This plate is thicker than any aluminum panel I have seen. Very high quality.
I recommend this item with zero reservations. For city kids, you could do a curb slide on this thing. For the country folks, never worry again about that ridge on your two-rut driveway.

Installation of the aluminum skid plate was very simple and it took less than 30 min! I did apply some rustoleum undercoating to the skid plate and it came out very good! My only tip to improve the skid plate is to add some protection to the mounting bolts! I am concerned by how much my transmission temps will increase, but I can simply drill some air holes to fix that problem!.Great work guys!
