BILSTEIN B4 STREET PERFORMANCE PACKAGE
Price range: $1,790.00 through $1,845.00
This stock ride height ‘street fighter’ suspension package will dramatically improve your handling on the street. We use our new in-house custom designed performance springs paired with the legendary Bilstein B4 struts to provide the handling your Highlander deserves!
Our front springs are 10% higher rate than stock to provide less braking dive and far less body roll. In the rear our springs are 20% stiffer than stock gas engine models, 15% stiffer than hybrid models, to greatly increase load carrying capability for all your gear, and better handling, all without being overly stiff for your daily commute. Say goodbye to the ‘saggy rear’ look!
Settled ride height will be approximately 1/2″ higher than as-new stock suspension due to stiffer springs.
Kit includes Bilstein B4 struts, and our Northwoods springs powder coated in blue. All assembled with the best strut hardware components.
Kits also include new front and rear sway bar links to fully upgrade our suspension.

Edgardo –
hi Northwoods!
I received the order last early last week, set aside Saturday and Sunday for the install. Got it done, Sunday afternoon, oh yeah!
Packaging was impressive, everything arrived in perfect order, instructions were clear — especially the part about using an allen tool and box wrench for the end link removals. I initially saw a bunch of YouTube using vise grips to prevent the spinning, but the Allen & box wrench combo worked well! just had to slowly back it in then out and repeat 100x or so! 😅
I did support the lower control arm with a jack to relieve some strain from the end links — and to hopefully use a a preload when torquing to spec vs setting car back down first.
I have had a chance to get a proper picture yet, but attached are a few pics. Coincidentally, another 2nd Gen Highlander was in the neighborhood during kid pick-up, and I parked next to them to try and get a side by side difference. I have the white Highlander.
Overall feels…as you mentioned tighter than stock, and yes very satisfying. 😀. I didn’t mention it Wife about the .5″ or so lift, and she did notice when driving. we can’t tell much from the outside, but once in the cabin, after what 16 years of OEM springs, wow, didn’t realize we would be able to perceive a .5″ difference in height. 🤓

I have a 2012 Highlander Limited AWD. It is kept in excellent condition and has about 130k miles. My old struts were not blown… but I wanted an upgrade.
First, Nathan was very helpful and provided me with good information over the phone and via email. He actually helped me decide the B4 would be better setup for me instead of B6 because I dont do a ton of off road. No trying to upsell the more expensive package… told me what I needed to hear.
Everything arrived very well packed with all of the parts you need for a complete install. I was impressed with what I received and that alone gave me a lot of confidence about the final product. I did the install myself, made sure everything was torqued to spec., and got the wheel alignment done the same day.
The ride is just as described… confident, poised and tight. No more “boaty” feel… or as Nathan puts it “driving a waterbed”. The body roll and brake dive is pretty much gone. Even my wife noticed a difference in how the car feels. Kind of makes you want to push the car a little, because it feels so much tighter and responsive!
I am running 245/65 R17 BF Goodrich Trail Terrain TA on 17×8.5 wheels from Fifteen52. With the new suspension I feel like this is the perfect “weekend warrior” setup that still has street manners but can handle the dirt with no problem. I plan to do some light camper towing and the car feels super capable!
Definitely recommend Northwoods Performance and feel like these guys deserve a little more recognition. They deliver on their claims.
