SPRING LIFT KIT PACKAGE – GEN 5
$565.00
Get increased ride height and ground clearance with our custom tuned springs and engineered front spacer in a complete lift package! Our custom springs increase driving performance and handling both off-road and on the highway.
For the LE and XLE models, our Northwoods springs are about 15% stiffer than stock to provide an increased spring rate without being harsh. Our engineered front lift spacers provide 1-1/2” of front lift with the correct camber offsets to allow factory alignment specs. Front sway bar links of the correct length for the lift included. In the rear, we provide upper shock bushings to provide full droop for our longer spings to maintain a great ride and control. And we offer your choice of our rear lift spring to provide the ride height and rate that you want—just select the rear spring Stage:
STAGE 1—212# spring rate, provide 1.25”+ lift on non-hybrid vehicles. Recommend for LE, XLE when usually lightly loaded.
STAGE 2—212# spring rate, provide up to 1.5”+ lift on non-hybrids, 1.25” of lift on hybrids. Recommended for non-hybrids, heavier weekend loads and additional lift.
STAGE 3—250# spring rate, provide 2” lift on non-hybrids, 1.5”+ on hybrids. Recommended for hybrids and serious overlanders.
Reference rear spring rates: OEM LE/XLE non-hybrid rate = 188#. TRD rate = 212#
Amount of lift is approximate and will vary by vehicle. Lift will vary depending on model and submodel, factory and aftermarket accessories installed, and original ride height of vehicle.

2 months with this kit installed. Much improved ride quality and handling on road and off. Stage 3 springs in the rear are not harsh when unloaded for daily driving. Un-noticeable sag when loaded with camping gear for a week. I have a prinsu rack with pelican bxr140 and waterport 8 gallon fully loaded for camping. 245/65r17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT pull the rig up some pretty steep, loose, bumpy roads…but never forget, this is a RAV4. It’s never going to be able to climb like a stock 4Runner. Nevertheless, I am extremely happy with this set up. Still getting over 29 mpg. I did extensive research on RAV4 lifts and settled on Northwoods Performance for the stiffer springs and 1.25” spacer as not to cause any cv axle bind. Couldn’t be happier my decision!

Installed on 2023 Rav4 Hybrid Woodland | Stage 3 rear springs | Very satisfied overall
I now have about 5,000 miles with the kit installed (by a local shop). Wanted to get rid of rear droop, particularly when I had my bike hitch-mounted rack on (I was frequently scraping the rack, even just on parking-lot ramps). Definitely solved that issue.
Ride quality is notably firmer; dives less in corners and heavy compressions, but is (unsurprisingly) less plush over potholes and the like. Swapping to 235/60/R18 tires helped with ride quality, aesthetics, and added a tiny bit more clearance. I’d be curious to try the Stage 2 springs, but the Stage 3 springs keep the Hybrid’s rear from drooping appreciably, even with the hitch rack, 2 bikes, and a full trunk.
I did notice some vibration between 15-20 mph after I’d put a couple hundred miles on. Then, after a couple thousand miles, I started getting some clicking / knocking from the sway bar links. Only then did I think to look back at the installation manual and realized it recommends checking all fasteners after 300 miles. So I did that, found a tiny bit of play in the sway bar link bolts and front top strut bolts, and tightened those down. This solved the clicking and I can no longer notice any vibration at any speed. That was my main worry when considering a lfit, so I’m very happy with the lack of downsides at this point.
The lift is modest (a bit over an inch at both ends), which is what I was after. I’ve driven the roughest forest-service roads I frequent (~8″ ruts and rocks) with no issues, provided I don’t get super lazy with line choice.
Shop couldn’t get one of the rear wheels’ camber fully within spec, but it wasn’t in spec before (-1.76° before vs. -1.99° after). Will keep an eye on tire wear but the ride is fine.
Between the lift and the bigger tires, it seems that I lost somewhere around 3-5 mpg. Still averaging between 33-39 mpg during the summer, depending on roads, speed, etc.
Northwoods Performance’s customer service was excellent and my overall experience with the product has more than lived up to my expectations. Highly recommend.
